As some of you may know, Mr. JOC and I are currently planning a kitchen remodel. We are going through the process of selecting cabinets, appliances, and various kitchen hardware. When BlogHer reached out to us recently to test Moen faucets, I was super excited for the opportunity for a few reasons.
- Our current faucet is only 4 years old but keeps dripping and I’ve wanted to replace it for some time.
- I want a high arc faucet for my new kitchen for the look, and due to my poor experience with them before I wanted to test one out beforehand.
I love the look of high arc faucet, it makes a kitchen looks more elegant. However, to be honest I was very hesitant to install a high arc faucet. I had previously installed an expensive model from a really well-known European brand and it was a terrible experience. Whenever the water was turned on, it splashed everywhere as we did dishes or washed things at the sink. Often after doing the dishes, the front of our shirts would be completely soaking wet. Last week the faucet arrived and I got my personal handyman (Mr. JOC) on it right away. The installation instructions were very easy to understand and he was able to remove the old faucet and install the Moen faucet in about 30 minutes. Moen included a helpful installation tool so you could easily tighten the mounting nut for the faucet even if it’s in a hard to reach location. There are also other user friendly features like the DuraLock™ attachment between the pulldown hose and outlet hose. Other brands required installing an additional clip to secure the hoses together which is more work. After the installation was complete, I definitely loved the high arc look. It’s making my existing kitchen look better already. As I turn on the faucet for the first time, I was amazed. When using either the stream or spray mode, the water does not bounce off and get all over the place. My biggest fear was gone, what a relief! Another feature I wanted in addition to the high arc was a spray head with hose extension. This allows me to rinse different parts of the sink after prepping for a meal or when I rinse fruits and vegetables. The best part, Moen Reflex™ system returns the spray head to its original position by itself. There is one other small characteristic, but important for me as I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, and that’s the hot, cold, and flow control for the water. I’ve tried other faucets with single lever control on the right and they were difficult to figure out where is hot and cold. On the Moen Hensley faucet, it’s very easy to understand where is cold and hot and how to control the water flow. Lastly, the model I had tested is Spot Resist™ stainless so that means one less thing for me to clean in the kitchen. If you are looking to update your kitchen faucet, I highly recommend giving Moen Reflex faucets a try. Not sure how to install a faucet? No worries, Moen even has a video that shows you how to install.

I would love to change out the green kitchen sink and the faucet to new Moen that has a sprayer.
I most want to change everything in the kitchen except the chairs! But since our faucet innards are worn out and it barely runs water now, I’d most love to change out the faucet.
I wish I can have a kitchen make over! Very jealous!
Wow . What timing as our kitchen is in need of a new sink and fixtures and a cooktop. Thank you for this chance.
Would love to have one
I have been looking at new kitchen faucets. Like the look of the Moen.
Honestly, the whole kitchen! It is very out of date (minus the new stove). It’s this horrible yellow that makes everything looks vintage. I am totally up for a new sink and granite counter!
Great faucet beautiful and functional.

I would love to change the layout but on a simpler level, I would change the counters. period. LOL 🙂
Really want to change hood over stove. Most are not powerful enough to evacuate greasy smells and “smoke”. Also want it so it,s easier to clean all the grease buildup beyond the filters. Any help?
Love to change my kitchen faucet. Too many grooves which catch grime and spray feature not working well Willhave hubby watch video of your Moen Hensley faucet
great looking
