Cameras, lenses, accessories and all other camera equipment we use for our photography and videography shared on Just One Cookbook blog and YouTube channel.
My Photography
All the photos on Just One Cookbook were taken by me unless it’s mentioned otherwise. Mr. JOC reviews restaurants and wines and he takes the pictures for his special posts.

PHOTOGRAPHY EDITING SOFTWARE
I edit all the photos with Lightroom. Please read more about Food Photography HERE.
LIGHTING
I love using natural light; however, I also use studio light when it’s too dark to take pictures. Our next goal is to incorporate more flash photography in our photos.
Mr. JOC’s Videography
We started our YouTube Channel in September 2013. All the videos on Just One Cookbook were filmed and edited by Mr. JOC. Doing videos is quite tricky, there aren’t many books that help you get started vs. photography. We find the best resource for learning how to make videos are tutorials from individuals, such as Learning DLSR Video and YouTube Channels.

VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE
For the first year, Mr. JOC used PowerDirector to edit and produced them. He’s currently using Adobe Premier Pro to edit our videos.
LIGHTING
All the videos are recorded in our kitchen using Cool Lights for lighting. Based on his research they are similar to Kino Flo but much cheaper and just as good (we never actually compared the footage shot with Cool Lights vs. Kino Flo). We also use ROSCO paper to diffuse the light.
