Gather all the ingredients.
Chop the onion. In a small frying pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion until they are golden, tender, and translucent. Transfer to a small bowl to let cool.
Put the ground meat in a medium bowl and lightly season with salt and pepper. Then divide the meat into 4 equal round balls and press down to make the burger patties, about 1/2 inch thickness.
Spread the mayo on the bottom of each burger bun and place shredded lettuce and tomato. Place the grilled burger, pineapple, sauteed onion, and 1 Tbsp of teriyaki sauce. Enjoy!
