The very first Just One Cookbook meetup and fan appreciation event in Tokyo!
I wanted do a quick update about the very first Just One Cookbook Meetup / Fan Appreciation event in Tokyo! Mr. JOC and I hosted a beer tasting at a craft beer iBrew Wired in Ginza last weekend.
Ten adults and four kids came to spend the afternoon with us. One of the family came all the way from Tsukuba (Ibaraki prefecture)! We really enjoyed talking to everyone and we were very touched by the stories they shared with us – how they found JOC, how they use it, and what they like/dislike about it.
Our sincere thank you to Kayoko, Qihuan, Jeff, Erin, Krismiati, Masashi, Angela, Soyoung, Katsura, and Motomitsu! Thank you for taking your precious weekend to attended this event. 🙂
We apologize to those of you who tried to attend but we were unable accept due to the limited space at the bar (most bars/restaurants in Tokyo are really small). Hopefully you’ll be able to join our meetup one day.
We’d love to meet you and thank you in person for supporting us. We hope to have another meetup / fan appreciation event in different locations in the future. So make sure to subscribe to my newsletter for the event information.
Let us know where you are, so we can do an impromptu meetup. We just met a JOC reader Cynthia in Nagoya while we were visiting there.
Thank you everyone for supporting JOC and showing your interest in meeting me and Mr. JOC! We look forward to meeting you one day!

I’m not surprised people came from Ibaraki! I’d come from Okinawa if I were in Japan at the same time! You must be really proud to have so many fans in Japan too.
You’re too kind, Sissi! I’d love to meet you in person (hopefully me visiting you!). So much to catch up… 🙂
