I know many of you want to get something from Japan, so this month the winner can request a gift from Japan. I’ll be happy to look for it, purchase it, and ship it to you. The total cost of the gift and shipping must be within $100. If the winner doesn’t have any specific item in mind, I’ll find something for him/her.

I just moved to Washington DC (USA) and was bummed by the lack of good Japanese food until I found Hana (no website, but: https://www.yelp.com/biz/hana-japanese-market-washington), a tiny little Japanese market near my apartment. They have everything I could ever want!
Earthen cookware or hard to find Japanese ingredients would be ideal but I don’t mine having anything cooking related from Japan!
