As some of you may know, Mr. JOC and I are currently planning a kitchen remodel. We are going through the process of selecting cabinets, appliances, and various kitchen hardware. When BlogHer reached out to us recently to test Moen faucets, I was super excited for the opportunity for a few reasons.
- Our current faucet is only 4 years old but keeps dripping and I’ve wanted to replace it for some time.
- I want a high arc faucet for my new kitchen for the look, and due to my poor experience with them before I wanted to test one out beforehand.
I love the look of high arc faucet, it makes a kitchen looks more elegant. However, to be honest I was very hesitant to install a high arc faucet. I had previously installed an expensive model from a really well-known European brand and it was a terrible experience. Whenever the water was turned on, it splashed everywhere as we did dishes or washed things at the sink. Often after doing the dishes, the front of our shirts would be completely soaking wet. Last week the faucet arrived and I got my personal handyman (Mr. JOC) on it right away. The installation instructions were very easy to understand and he was able to remove the old faucet and install the Moen faucet in about 30 minutes. Moen included a helpful installation tool so you could easily tighten the mounting nut for the faucet even if it’s in a hard to reach location. There are also other user friendly features like the DuraLock™ attachment between the pulldown hose and outlet hose. Other brands required installing an additional clip to secure the hoses together which is more work. After the installation was complete, I definitely loved the high arc look. It’s making my existing kitchen look better already. As I turn on the faucet for the first time, I was amazed. When using either the stream or spray mode, the water does not bounce off and get all over the place. My biggest fear was gone, what a relief! Another feature I wanted in addition to the high arc was a spray head with hose extension. This allows me to rinse different parts of the sink after prepping for a meal or when I rinse fruits and vegetables. The best part, Moen Reflex™ system returns the spray head to its original position by itself. There is one other small characteristic, but important for me as I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, and that’s the hot, cold, and flow control for the water. I’ve tried other faucets with single lever control on the right and they were difficult to figure out where is hot and cold. On the Moen Hensley faucet, it’s very easy to understand where is cold and hot and how to control the water flow. Lastly, the model I had tested is Spot Resist™ stainless so that means one less thing for me to clean in the kitchen. If you are looking to update your kitchen faucet, I highly recommend giving Moen Reflex faucets a try. Not sure how to install a faucet? No worries, Moen even has a video that shows you how to install.

Small things (like a facet) in life brings kitchen happiness!
I would love to change the lighting in my kitchen. New lighting can change an entire room around!
That’s a really great tap and I wish it was available in Oz. I love its big range of features. And your new-look blog is fabulous too xx
Living in a rental, I would have to say the thing I would like to change most is the organization. We have several drawers that are full of spoons, spatulas, bento accessories, and much more, and nothing feels organized. I would love to open a drawer and find everything fitting perfectly in place.
I would love to the change the counters in our kitchen!
If I could change any one thing about my kitchen, it would be the layout. It was made so the the refrigerator and pantry doors slam into each other- you can’t open both at the same time. I have no idea who had this dumb idea, but as a chef, it drives me mad.
I would like an appliance storage cabinet for my Kitchen Aid mixer.
Love your recipes and have followed up on your other promotions, advertised on your site. You have been so helpful in so many ways!! While I would dearly love a new sink/faucet like yours (actually, I really NEED one) I am thrilled you are pleased with yours! Thank you for sharing Japanese culture in your recipes~
Great info and perfect timing as we’re in the process of looking for a faucet to replace our current one that dripping!
I need one when I remodel my kitchen!
I think all of us that like to cook would love to have an updated kitchen.
The Kiran faucet with the high arc would allow larger items in the sink and the pull spout is so handy ! Nami, hope that you can enjoy your new kitchen soon ! Looking forward to seeing the remodel.
Very nice faucet! Would love some new flooring!
I need to look at them!
What I’d like to change is larger areas to prep food on, as I always seem to run out of space… A Mixer would always be nice too.
I have been looking at kitchen faucets also and like the ones that higher above the sink.
