I would have to have a panda and ninja style bento. Since I am always hungry for a bento, I’d have a two tier bento. On the top tier, there would be two pandas, made out of white mochi; each would have black sesame facial markings and one would be filled with black sesame, the other would have a thin layer of red bean paste and a whole strawberry as its filling. Bamboo would be placed next to the panda mochi and made out of thin strips of tonkatsu; tonkatsu sauce would mark the joints of the bamboo and cabbage would be the leaves. On the bottom tier, I would have two small spherical onigiri, one with tuna mayo inside and the other would have a broiled eel filling; nori would of course be cut out to mark the ninja faces. I would have four pieces of tempura: one lotus root, one carrot, one sweet potato and prawn, all cut out like ninja weapons (e.g. shuriken).
I would love the shrimp and veggie tempura, chicken teriyaki or tonkatsu, and spinach gomae.
