This giveaway is exclusive to Just One Cookbook Email Newsletter Subscribers!
I’m giving away 2 (two) $50 Amazon Gift Cards to my email newsletter subscribers.
Or you can choose another option, Nami’s personal shopping assistance! Last month I received positive feedback on this option, so let’s continue having this option again.
I often hear from readers that they have a hard time finding certain Japanese ingredients in their country (that I use in my recipes). E.g. dashi packets, matcha (green tea) powder, otoshibuta (drop lid), etc etc…
So if you have specific Japanese products that you can’t find in your country and would prefer them over the Amazon gift card, I’d be happy to buy and ship them to you instead. However, please keep in mind that the cost of the product and shipping fee has to be under $50.
I cannot guarantee if I can find what you need, but I’ll definitely do my best. Please note, items I cannot ship include perishable food or heavy kitchen gadget like takoyaki grill. We can discuss more details if you find out you’re one of the winners. 🙂
Important Rule:
- You can enter ONLY one comment per subscriber.
- Your email entry has to match with your email address in my {Free} Email Newsletter Subscription list.
- In the comment box below, write any feedback you may have for me, any recipe request, or just say hello.
Two (2) winners will be selected via Random.org and announced on Sunday, March 1, 2015. This giveaway closes on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12 p.m. PST. The winners will be contacted via email, so please include a valid email address in the email address entry box.
Full Disclosure: This giveaway is sponsored by yours truly.

Hey! I’d like to thank you for all the recipes and advices in JOC! I LOVE japanese cooking so you help me a lot! Hope I’ll have some luck this time! ♡
A big fan of your blog! Some of your recipes remind me of my mother’s Japanese homecooking from when I was a kid. Keep up the wonderful work ^-^
I love reading your blogs!! Inspires me to cook more…
Happy New Year to you too Nami! Thanks for your blog. You have really brought Japanese home cooking to my home.
I did some quick searches but don’t think you have shown how to prepare ikura (salmon eggs). A few years ago, when living in Mountain View, I came across raw salmon eggs sold at Nijiya (El Camino and Grant). I bought a few times, and tried to clean and marinate myself. I eventually found a good website with good instruction and they came out pretty well I think. But then I forgot where I found the instruction.
After moving to San Jose, I can’t find raw salmon eggs anymore in any Japanese store. Do you know where we can get raw salmon eggs in the Bay Area?
Also, if you could show the proper and fail-safe way to prepare ikura somedays, it would be great!
I love your recipes they are so simple. Thank you!
Thanks for your site.
seems like i buy for amazon almost daily…a little help would be nice…..and yesterday i got a pkg of chicken wings marked down 50% and the first thing i thought of was your cookbook……jo
