This giveaway is exclusive to Just One Cookbook Email Newsletter Subscribers!
I’m giving away 2 (two) $50 Amazon Gift Cards to my email newsletter subscribers.
Or you can choose another option, Nami’s personal shopping assistance!
I often hear from readers that they have a hard time finding certain Japanese ingredients in their country (that I use in my recipes). E.g. dashi packets, matcha (green tea) powder, otoshibuta (drop lid), etc etc…
So if you have specific Japanese products that you can’t find in your country and would prefer them over the Amazon gift card, I’d be happy to buy and ship them to you instead. However, please keep in mind that the cost of the product and shipping fee has to be under $50.
I cannot guarantee if I can find what you want, but I’ll definitely do my best. Please note, items I cannot ship include perishable food or heavy kitchen gadget like takoyaki grill. We can discuss more details if you find out you’re one of the winners. 🙂
I thought this is one way that I can help out Just One Cookbook fans and readers. If this is something you like, I can do this again (so please mention it in the comment below).
Important Rule:
You can enter ONLY one comment per subscriber.Your email entry has to match with your email address in my {Free} Email Newsletter Subscription list.In the comment box below, write any feedback you may have for me, or just say hello.
Two (2) winners will be selected via Random.org and announced on Sunday, February 1, 2015. This giveaway closes on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12 p.m. PST. The winners will be contacted via email, so please include a valid email address in the email address entry box.

The five reflections. I reflect on the work that brings this food before me; let me see whence this food comes. I reflect on my imperfections, on whether I am deserving of this offering of food. Let me hold my mind from preferences and greed. I take this food as an effective medicine to keep my body in good health. I accept this food so that I will fulfill my task of enlightenment.
Happy new year!! 😀

Hi, Nami! All of these giveaways are so kind of you! I love the idea of personal shopper – there are so many products I could never find even in online shops here, that I would have a really hard time deciding what I’d like to try the most; I think I would go with the ingredients you use for dressings and bases of “the most Japanese” dishes, as I would call them – these are the ones that are to be found in most of your recipes and the ones that block me from making them taste like they really should! I hope I get lucky this time 🙂
I live in Hawaii, but I am not able to get many Asian recipes of my family’s favorite dishes of Japanese food. Many families here cook using family recipes that may not be shared to others. Seeing that there is a blog and site to refer to is awesome! I love to cook and host dinners for family and friends. I am looking forward to cooking many more Asian dishes thanks to your blog!
Thanks so much for doing this!

I love your web site!!! I have traveled to Japan, have had a Japanese husband and have two half Japanese sons. Thank you for all of your hard work!!
Love the food and think I am losing weight as well – win win!

Hello, enjoying your postings
I love your site. There is only one Japanese (Americanized) restaurant where I live and your recipes let me experience real Japanese cooking.
Thank You for doing this!
Hi Nami! Enjoying your newsletters and blog posts! Keep it up, please.
thanks
This is an awesome giveaway 🙂
The easy to do recipes and the detailed guides are great. The videos are of great help as well
Your recipes inspire me to cook more Japanese Recipes at home. I am half-Japanese and am an ESL tutor to Japanese students and I showed them a photo of the Ozoni I made on New Year’s Day using your recipe with the shiro miso. They told me it looked delicious and then whipped out photos of their New Years foods they made, which were Ozoni for breakfast and then beautiful Osechi for supper….of course their Ozoni looked perfect like your photo and mine looked so sloppy next to theirs and yours. They’ve never seen Ozoni with miso, so they must be from regions that use a clear dashi broth.
Thank you for keeping in touch with my Japanese foodie roots!
Doris
I absolutely love all of the recipies you post and look forward to making them all the time!! Thank you!!! 😀
I always look forward to your emails. Thank you for the recipes.
I miss yuzu, unagi and sakurabon from Japan. But I think they would be too expensive to post to Australia. I love the recipes and the simple presentation. Being able to cook “real” Japanese food is a delight.
Enjoy reading your blog. Thanks for the clear and concise recipes!
Love all the recipes and enjoy the travel videos!! Thank you for sharing as at my age (74) do not believe that I will be traveling as much as I did before..
Love your writing!
I am a huge fan of Chinese food, and Thai; and am excited to learn more about Japanese cooking. I especially like your “how to do it” section.
My first attempt at onigiri balls was not great – and am going to try them again. My son mastered them quite easily and is encouraging me to experiment. He is the one that gave me your website.
Love seeing and trying new recipe. Thanks
Love your recipes
Thank you for your blog, Nami.
I lived in Japan for 3 years a long time ago – 1976 – 1979. My ex was in the military and my daughter was born there. Always loved the food, my Aunt is Japanese also. She met my Uncle when he was stationed there many years ago. They are still married!! My granddaughters also love Japanese food as much as I do. I can’t eat Chinese food anymore. It just doesn’t taste good to me anymore. I had as bunch of recipes when I left there but I haven’t been able to find where I put them. Anyway I was looking for a recipe on the internet one day when I found your website. Signed up right away!!
I use your recipes a lot! I add a little corn starch to your teriyaki sauce recipie to thicken it more.
More traditional japanese recipes – such as from provinces. Not your typical japanese restaurant offering 🙂
Thank!

Hi Nami! Thank you so much for your recipes. I really enjoy your site!
All of your posts are amazing!
hello, I love your blog! As an American it’s difficult to find authentic Asian cuisine. Your blog has helped a great deal with learning what is authentic and what is not. I’d much rather make it myself at home now instead of eating the American version of Asian food. Your recipes are much better than anything I can find near me.
I love your blog…very inspiring! I’m looking for one of those wooden sushi press molds…the rectangular box ones. If you have some comments on what I should be looking for in terms of quality, that would be helpful too. I am also venturing into the world of experimenting with making japanese ramen. Mostly, I’m looking for good broth recipes that don’t take too long. I can already get the noodles fresh locally 🙂
Your recipes are always fantastic! I also enjoy reading and looking at photos of your trips of Japan and other Asian countries. The articles of your trips are very informative.
It would be amazing to win this especially as I am doing a Japanese meal for my friends at the beginning of next month
I’ve tried many of your recipes and love them!

Hi! I just wanted to say I love your blog, it’s such a great webpage.
I don’t have any negative feedback to give you, but can I’ll make a suggestions/request. Could you maybe post recipes that relate to anime? Like, when they feature food on certain anime, post the recipe for that food so we can make it in real life?
Even if you don’t that’s fine. Your blog is perfect the way it is. *_*
