Today I’m partnering with Tuttle Publishing to give away two (2) copies of Japanese Design by Patricia J. Graham! This giveaway contest is open to everyone worldwide.
In Japanese Design, Asian art expert and author Patricia J. Graham explains how Japanese aesthetics based in fine craftsmanship and simplicity developed. Her unusual, full-color presentation reveals this design aesthetic in an absorbing way, using a combination of insightful explanations and more than 160 stunning photos. I love all types of Japanese design, but I think my favorite would be very old style from the 50’s and 60’s with Geisha girl photos and the beautiful fabric patterns. I love the sleek looks, and clutter free rooms.
I follow you on pintrest also!
The part of japanese design that interests me the most is gardens. The intricacy of zen, the beauty of companion planting, the gentle aesthetic and how calm I am when I am in such a place a wonder! Thanks for a great site by the way! Been using your site for quite some time now. Great content and communication with your followers. Thank you for the opportunity to win such a good book!

The Japanese design that most appeals to me…that’s a really hard decision because all is beautiful! I love the sliding doorways and the sitting style on the floor but that’s just 2 of the many.
I love simple but elegant, asymmetry, clean lines. Deam to have a room with Japanese furniture and tatami floor.
and Pinterest!
And google +!
I love traditional Japanese textile design, especially those that incorporate resist-dying techniques, such as shibori and kasuri. followed you on fb!
What I like about Japanese designs is the simplicity. It’s simple but not plain.
Designs that are clean, simple, and made up of organic/natural items.
