Thank you so much for subscribing to my newsletters to stay in touch with my blog! As a small token of my appreciation, I host a monthly giveaway just for my dearest subscribers. ♥
Since I’m currently in Japan, I decided to host a giveaway differently this month. I know many of you want to get something from Japan, so this month the winner can request a gift from Japan. I’ll be happy to look for it, purchase it, and ship it to you. The total cost of the gift and shipping must be within $100. If the winner doesn’t have any specific item in mind, I’ll find something for him/her.
The winner will also receive a copy of my e-Book, Just One Cookbook – Essential Japanese Recipes.

Thank you for participating this giveaway! The winner is…
Congratulations Amy Tong! I’ll email you shortly. 🙂
I love the JOC site, but a measurement converter tool, or perhaps a serving adjustment tool (like, if a recipe serves 4, and I need to serve 15) could be nice.
Oh my gosh, I love One cookbook, , the variety of the recipes, the ease of the instructions, I am half Japanese so I was taught by my father to cook Japanese cuisine, which I love, I also cook other dishes, offhand I cannot think of anything that would improve this site, I’m just grateful I ran into this, you cook things that I grew up loving, and now I can enjoy them again, Thank you so much!!
I think you’re doing a great job, you have easy to follow recipes, great pictures, and a story behind every recipe. Not much more to ask for!
Ticket 3:
I like your Facebook page 🙂
I would love it if you could make Menu Plan suggestions for a Japanese meal, possibly one time vegetarian, one time meat based, one time fish based.
Just followed you on Instagram. Really enjoy the photos of your travels to Japan.
Ticket 2:
I am subscribed to your YouTube channel already 🙂
I would enjoy more one pan/pot recipes for those of us who are restricted by time and skill.
Just subscribed to your Facebook page. You have some great photography.
Ticket 1:
Hi Nami 🙂 I like your site a lot and find it very informative. My suggestion for you to consider is a function that makes it possible/easy to put in a different number of servings for a recipe and get the resulting amounts for the ingredients.
I am subscribed to your YouTube channel.
The only recommendation I would have to improve your blog would be to add some more old style traditional Japanese dishes. Thank you
I am already subscribed to your YouTube channel.
It doesn’t seem that much improvement needs to be made to your JOC but maybe some more comments on the cooking tools you use. Thanks!
