Win A Set of Kyushu Matcha
This giveaway highlights premium matcha grown in Kyushu. All the matcha presented here are from Kagoshima and Fukuoka Prefectures that Naoki Matcha recently found, and actively works with.
The 3 winners will get to choose 2 of the different blends: one from the masters’ collection and another one from the regular collection.
Regular Collection:
- Organic Ceremonial Blend – This matcha is produced by one of the oldest organic tea producers in Kagoshima and has a smooth, pleasant bittersweet taste that makes it extremely versatile for all manner of matcha tea and beverages.
- Fragrant Yame Blend – This blend was produced in the town of Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture. Yame is famous for producing extremely sweet and delicious gyokuro tea. This blend has a gentle floral sweetness and moderate umami and is overall much lighter in the mouthfeel than what most people expect from matcha. Perfect for a tea lover looking to start exploring matcha.
Masters Collection:
- Chiran Harvest Matcha – This is part of Naoki Matcha’s “Masters Collection” – it’s a collection of special matcha made by master growers who are pushing the envelope of matcha innovation. It has a rich nutty taste and lingering umami without a trace of bitterness. It’s also brilliantly green and made from a new tea plant cultivar that was only recently registered. A must-try for seasoned matcha enthusiasts.
- Organic Kirishima Harvest Matcha – This is another blend in Naoki Matcha’s “Masters Collection”. It is organic matcha made from an Asahi cultivar tea plant. The Asahi cultivar is usually used in top-end matcha and is rarely found outside of Kyoto. It gently sweet with a balanced umami finish.
About Naoki Matcha
Naoki Matcha provides authentic Japanese matcha that is curated for taste and flavor. Their specialty lies in sourcing and supply chain, and they have good relationships with small-medium tea estates in the main tea producing regions in Japan. The current line-up features matcha from Wazuka, Kirishima, Yame, Chiran, and Uji. Each blend has a distinct flavor profile. This is to cater to different customers with various levels of familiarity and usage patterns for matcha.
The company started only in 2016 by two long-time friends who run Naoki Matcha as a passion project. They wanted to show people that matcha isn’t just a health product, but is also really great as a tea beverage! They’ve always worked with smaller tea estates because they focus on quality over quantity.
Today, Naoki Matcha is one of the most popular brands on Amazon, catering to matcha lovers of all kinds, from beginners to experienced matcha drinkers alike.
