Wow a giveaway from Din Tai Fung! I went to the restaurant two years ago while travelling in Taiwan! It really is a must if one is in Taipei!
I found about Just One Cookbook simply through googling Japanese recipes. I have been using the blog for a few years now and it has become my reference for Japanese cooking! 😀

I found Just One Cookbook some time ago when I was searching for Japanese recipes – I actually made the okonomyaki for dinner tonight :0) – (with my variation of added kimchi) – thank you
Working on my matcha green tea cookies.
Hi Nami, I googled for a recipe for Dons and was directed to your blog. I have since cooked the chicken meatballs to much success. My sons loved it. I really like your blog. It is informative and the recipes suit my family’s taste.
I found Just One Cookbook while browsing the web trying to find a good recipe for sukiyaki. Every month my family dresses up in Japanese attire and has a good Japanese dinner. I wanted to try my luck on sukiyaki but I was not sure how to prepare the tofu. Nami had some good pointers so I used her website. The meal turned out great so after the dinner I subscribed to Nami’s newsletters and have been quite contented with her since. Thanks Nami!
I found your site while searching for a Chashu recipe. Your site is very interesting so I decided to subcribe. 🙂
Searching for Japanese recipes online.
looked for specific, authentic Japanese recipe and finally hit the jackpot when I ran across your site. Haven’t left since.
I found Just One Cookbook on Youtube when I was trying to find an okonomiyake recipe in 2014 after my dad got back from Japan and told me how great it was, I wanted to make it. Instead I found a wonderful step by step oyakodonburi recipe from Just One Cookbook on Youtube, and then I was hooked ever since! I now follow on Facebook, Pinterest and Youtube
Nami,
I was looking for an authentic recipe for okonomiyaki with pictures that was easy to understand and execute and your recipes came up! I have tried both hiroshima style and osaka style and love them both. Thank you so much.
I am a student doing an internship in Japan and was searching on Google for cool recipes to make while I’m here. I came across your travel guide, as well as some recipes for mabo dofu and jabchae that I definitely want to try! Thanks so much for your hard work and I will definitely post some pictures on my blog of my attempts to do your recipes!
I was looking in Youtube for Japanese recipes, saw one of your videos and liked how it showed in detail how to prepare the food. Then decided to look more into your webpage. 🙂
