If I remember, right, I found your blog when I was searching for a specific Japanese recipe. I started cooking Japanese foods a while back (my daughters and I discovered anime and manga, and I already loved the culture and food). I can’t remember which recipe it was, but when I came to your page for that, I signed up for your newsletter and love your posts.

Q:tell me how you found Just One Cookbook
A: I found Just One Cookbook when I started searching for the receipe for a cold noodle that I tried back in 1974 when I was enrolled in what is referred to today as the Taiwan Loveboat; back then it was a serious cultural program, My local family host was a close friend of my uncle, whose sister-in-law ran a “famous” cold noodle shop (in Taipei) that I failed to appreciate at that time; but in hindsight, now long for. I live in the SF bay area and still (to today) search for the receipe for that great cold noodle that my host made back in 1974, but no such luck. I am still searching, and that’s how I found (discovered) Just One Cookbook.
I came upon JOC during an Internet search. Subscribing was one of the best things I have ever done!
