Win the freshest coffee beans from HelioRoast this holiday season! The beans are processed by electric roasters powered by solar energy, and roast on-demand, ensuring you the exceptional quality and freshness in a cup.
As part of our holiday series, we’ve partnered with HelioRoast Coffee, a San Francisco start-up to give away their extraordinary coffee beans to 3 lucky Just One Cookbook winners! Each winner will receive a bundle of 3 different types of beans (read details below).
HelioRoast is run by a former university professor named Kern Trembath. We discovered their beans at a local supermarket and so far they’re our favorite among all the San Francisco coffee roasters we’ve tried. They only roast the beans after you order them. You decide on the type of beans you want and roast level, and the bean is handcrafted just for you. We simply love their coffee beans and the friendship we’ve developed with Kern over the past year.
Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or know a friend who is, this is the perfect opportunity to discover a new favorite. Enter to win this giveaway now!
Win A Bundle of HelioRoast Coffee Today
The bundle includes:
Sumatra Lintong Pak (1 lb)
The dry fragrance has intense chocolate and caramel biscuit tones, with molasses, chocolate-coated raisin, and dark berry. Sugar-browning notes like butterscotch, caramel, and spice are present in the wet aroma, with some plum and blackberry fruits. The cup has a great rustic sweetness, with Concord grape notes, molasses, cinnamon stick, black tea, fresh tobacco, and strong mulling spice in the finish. This coffee has a body that is nicely weighted like apple juice. Makes an outstanding single-origin espresso.
Rwanda Kivu Kibuye (1 lb)
Kibuye is a superstar Rwanda with all the top notes you hope for in a highlight coffee. City+ roasts are complex, showing a sweetness that is like raw cane juice. As the cup cools, mellow citrus notes fill out the profile, lemon oil, orange tea, all reminiscent of lemon-mandarin rice candies. Cinnamon stick, clove, and all-spice notes arise in both light and more developed roasts, and you can expect mouth-cleansing acidity throughout. The middle roast ranges make for a standout pour-over brew, and Full City produces one of the best African espressos of the year.
Ethiopia Ardi Decaf (1 lb)
Ethiopia Ardi comes from the Harrar region of Ethiopia immediately to the east of Addis Ababa, which is where coffee plants originated both biologically and then much later commercially. Like all Harrars, it is a shortberry coffee, and thus very fruity with low acidity. When roasted from Full City to Vienna, it has a substantial body, and increasing overtones of chocolate at the darker levels. Swiss Water Processing assures you of maximal bean character and minimal “decaf-y” taste and body.
* You get to select any configuration of the three available cultivars at any roast level.

I like my coffee in a pour over and black
This looks amazing!
great coffee
Drinking different styles of coffee depend on the time of day. Lungo for the mornings, Americano for lunch and cafe au lait for dinner, any other style will again depend on the tine of day or my mood. I use drip, pour over and moka. My favorite is the pour over.
Thank you for the contest and wonderful recieps.
