I am most likely to find Japanese products at Earth Fare or Whole Foods. Some equipment at kitchen specialty stores. Some items are universal, easily available.
I do not use Facebook, Twitter or other social media but I look forward to your email. I made dashi and would like more dishes that use it. Thank you for all you do!
I buy my Japanese ingredients at Toko Nieuwe Wereld [新世界].
They don’t have a website of their own, but two websites describing it (in Dutch) are:
https://tokowijzer.nl/2008/02/24/toko-nieuwe-wereld/
http://www.aziatische-ingredienten.nl/toko-leiden-nieuwe-wereld/
The city is Leiden, the country is the Netherlands.
Nijiya in San Francisco, USA

I buy Japanese foods and ingredients at Marukai or Don Quijote stores in Hawaii on the island of Oahu (state of Hawaii, US).
I buy some ingredients in Wamart in Spmetsworth, NH (spring & summer) & in St. Petersburg, FL (fall & winter). Sometimes I’ll order online from Walmart or Amazon. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

I buy my Japanese ingredients from a Japanese supermarket called Sunrise Mart (https://sunrisemart-ny.com/) in NYC, USA. They have two locations in Manhattan, one near St. Marks Place and another in Mid-town. It’s great and I use them to create some of your recipes!
I shop at P.A.T.S. in Toronto ,Canada. They have a great selection of Asian
foods and equipment.
Hi Nami!
Hope you’re having a great time in Japan!
Thank you for asking this question; I remember suggesting this idea in a previous competition, so I am glad to read people’s responses. I am envious of people who have access to a Japanese shop with a full range of products. Living in Melbourne, Australia, there were a few websites given by your followers, so I will definitely check them out!
Of course, an Asian grocery store can provide some Japanese food products, but I find the range limited. The best Japanese food stores in Melbourne are: ‘
Suzuran (Camberwell)
Tokyo Deli (Elsternwick)
I hope I can win this competition!
Sadly, I live in the Midwest, USA, in a tiny town (Charleston IL) over an hour from any reasonable grocery stores. I buy most of my Japanese ingredients via Amazon (www.amazon.com). I’ve had good luck with kombu, bonito, sesame oil, &c.
Naturally, I do subscribe to the newsletter already.
There are not any Japanese stores around me for about 50 miles or so to name a specific name. When I go out of town I just map one and that is where I go. I love Japanese food!!
