Best steak I ever had was a New York strip grilled over a wood burning fire ring while camping in Yosemite. After a day of hiking, it was just simply seasoned with salt and pepper and had a wonderful char on the outside and cooked perfectly rare!
The best steak I had was prepared on an open fire after a 12 hours hike !

The best steak I’ve ever had was prepared by my fiance at home. I have no idea how he prepared it, other than that he sliced it pretty thin and only cooked it for a minute or so.
