Thank you for participating this giveaway! Now the winner is…
Congratulations montuos (#73)!! I’ll email you shortly. Hope you enjoy Miyazaki Wagyu! 🙂
The best steak I had was the center cut filet mignon at Morton’s in Boston cooked medium-rare.
The best steak I’ve ever had would have to be at a restaurant on Maui YEARS ago. I can’t even remember what kind of steak it was but it was so good.
Following on Pinterest as well… but not an instagram fan… yet. Will Wagyu tempt me to join??
One of the best steaks I ever had was at the Capitol Grill in Costa Mesa, CA. But it was very expensive. I believe it was pan grilled and was very small. It was very tender, but it didn’t melt in my mouth. Actually some of the best steaks I’ve had are right here in my home when I’m willing to spend for clean, grass-fed Rib Eye. We like it grilled and topped with Gorgonzola butter.

It was a New York strip steak at a resturant in downtown near the ave of America. I forget the name but I went for my graduation and I loved the middle rare cooked strip I had.
I love rib eye steaks! I had a great one at the cattle baron. It was cooked to rare inside but with a charred outside. So tasty
I am subscribed to you on Youtube.
I’ve honestly never had a really good steak :/ Nothing sticks out in my memory

The best steak I’ve ever had was probably the Overland Stagecoach in Anaheim, CA. It would have been a traditionally prepared NY strip or if I was desiring leftovers, a porterhouse. Sadly the hotel it was connected to remodeled, including the restaurant, and turned the whole thing into a Southwestern BBQ. It went from elegant, 1920-30s styled European steakhouse to… not appealing. My second favorite would be Lawry’s The Prime Rib, in Hollywood, or one of a couple Brazilian BBQs.
I was fortunate to have bought some Miyazaki Gyu beef at our Asian store (Marukai) here in Honolulu last week. We cooked it yakiniku style and decided that it was the BEST beef we’ve EVER tasted! Melt in your mouth and so flavorful! Could only afford to buy 1/2 lb but it was well worth it. Would love to win another steak! We will savor every bite if we are the winner!
I loved reading about your comparison between the two kinds of beef!
Grilled at home, marinated in burgundy wine, garlic, thyme and pepper
Best steak I have ever had was in Seattle at a Japanese restaurant many many years ago.
It was cooked in a soya sauce base and it was melt in your mouth!
I think Japanese cooks really know how to do up a steak.
Haven’t had a steak that good since.
